Copper alloy frog plates can be welded/brazed into Kawell Copper Alloy horseshoes. The benefit of doing this is to have the antimicrobial properties of the copper alloy horseshoe and frog plate chemically reacting and producing copper salts. The antibacterial and fungicidal properties of the copper alloy help inhibit the proliferation of bacteria and fungi that cause seedy hoof (seedy toe), Onychomycosis (white line disease), and canker.
